Job Details:
We’re looking to add two Lead Controls Installation Technicians to support our expanding workload across Maryland, D.C., and Virginia. This is a hands-on field position responsible for overseeing installations and ensuring quality execution of all control system wiring and equipment setups.
This is not a desk job — you’ll be leading field efforts, mentoring junior techs, coordinating project execution, and ensuring all installations meet customer and code expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the on-site execution and installation of BAS/control systems
- Read and interpret mechanical and temperature control drawings
- Install conduit, fittings, controllers, sensors, and end devices
- Perform and oversee terminations, point-to-point checkout, and system verification
- Troubleshoot wiring and field terminations using test instruments
- Participate in project pre-planning and schedule coordination
- Escalate technical or scope issues to ensure project completion
- Support both day and occasional night shifts (with potential weekend work)
- Ensure a safe working environment for all field personnel
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Lead Controls Installation Technician or similar role
- Strong understanding of building automation system hardware and controls
- Skilled in reading schematics and wiring diagrams
- Ability to install conduit and execute terminations
- Experienced in field troubleshooting and quality assurance
- Willingness to work nights and some weekends as project needs dictate
- Reliable and professional communication with internal teams and customers
