A premier manufacturer of advanced automation and press systems is seeking a Sr. Electrical Controls Engineer to lead high-level control system design and implementation. This role is ideal for a self-driven engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and brings deep expertise in motion control, pressure/temperature regulation, and electrical systems development.
This is a key technical position where you'll have the opportunity to contribute to innovative project delivery, mentor junior engineers, and help shape engineering standards and controls architecture for mission-critical applications.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- 10–12 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, or 12–14 years in related industry if no degree
- BS Degree in Electrical, Controls, or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, AutoCAD Electrical, and control panel design
- Demonstrated ability to lead control systems teams and mentor junior engineers
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and review electrical control panels using AutoCAD Electrical
- Ensure compliance with UL 508A and ISO 13849 standards
- Develop PLC programs (primarily Allen Bradley)
- Build intuitive HMI screens (Aveva Edge, AB Panel View)
- Create motion control programs (Delta RMC Tools, Yaskawa MotionWorks)
- Lead programming best practices and help standardize development templates
- Guide startups and support occasional on-site training as needed
- Assist with system testing and engineer coaching during modifications
- Collaborate with internal teams including shop leads, project managers, and estimators
- Participate in customer meetings and project design reviews
- Provide subject matter expertise and feedback to engineering leadership
