Controls Engineer – Parkville, KS – $140,000–$150,000 (DOE)

A nationally recognized chemical services provider is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support its operations in the Greater Parkville, KS area. This role is well-suited for an engineer with a strong background in PLC/HMI programming, process instrumentation, and industrial automation, especially within process-heavy environments. Position Overview:
- Title: Controls Engineer
- Location: Parkville, KS (Greater Kansas City Area)
- Status: Full-Time / On-Site
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain process control systems including PLCs, MCCs, and VFDs
- Work with process instrumentation: flow meters, level/pressure/temperature transducers
- Develop and maintain HMI systems and FactoryTalk directory structures
- Troubleshoot and manage networks across subnets and VLANs
- Work with 480V motor control centers and variable frequency drives
- Oversee project schedules and budgets for controls work
- Supervise instrumentation technicians and assign project tasks
- Support plant-wide initiatives related to safety, quality, and productivity
- Train plant personnel on HS&E topics and encourage ownership culture
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Expertise in Allen Bradley PLC platforms: ControlLogix, SLC, PLC5
- Experience with Rockwell, RSView, FactoryTalk, Wonderware, or similar HMIs
- Ability to lead technical teams, communicate across departments, and manage multiple priorities

Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $140,000–$150,000 (Depending on Experience)
