Controls Account Executive – Seattle, WA – $85,000–$95,000 + Commission + Bonus + Company Vehicle

MacDonald-Miller, the Pacific Northwest’s premier mechanical and building automation contractor, is seeking a Controls Account Executive to grow their BAS business throughout the Seattle metro. This role includes an existing book of business, generous commission structure, company vehicle or reimbursement, and a full benefits package. Position Details:

• Title: Controls Account Executive
• Location: Seattle, WA (Local Travel Required)
• Status: Full-Time

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in Building Automation System (BAS) sales or related controls/technical account management role
• Strong understanding of controls technology and mechanical systems
• Ability to maintain and grow assigned accounts while pursuing new business opportunities
• Skilled in proposal development, customer consultations, and long-term relationship management
• Comfortable with goal-setting, margin tracking, and sales strategy development
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a customer-first approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a pre-assigned book of business while developing new relationships
• Conduct site visits, consultations, and strategic sales outreach across the Seattle metro
• Prepare proposals and technical documentation in collaboration with internal engineering and estimating teams
• Identify customer needs and provide tailored BAS solutions
• Work with vendors and internal resources to close projects and achieve growth goals
• Track sales activity, gross margin, and pipeline performance against annual objectives

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $85,000–$95,000
• Commission: 15% of Monthly Gross Profit (7.5% during 6–12 month ramp-up period)
• Bonus: Discretionary
• 401(k): 40% match, 100% vested from day one
