Position Details:

• Title: Controls Installer
• Location: Grand Rapids, MI
• Status: Full-Time
• Travel: Local to the Grand Rapids area

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience as a BAS Installer or Controls Technician
• Skilled in conduit bending and wire pulling
• Proficient with multimeters and digital analyzers for system testing
• Comfortable reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
• Capable of installing and commissioning HVAC control systems
• Understanding of low-voltage wiring and third-party system integration (BACnet, Modbus)
• Journeyman card preferred for vehicle eligibility, but experience with security/camera/card access systems also considered

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, commission, and troubleshoot BAS systems and equipment
• Run conduit, pull wire, and terminate control panels and field devices
• Use testing equipment to verify system performance and diagnose issues
• Coordinate with team members and read building plans to ensure accuracy
• Support start-up processes and ensure systems meet design specs
• Integrate systems using BACnet, Modbus, and other protocols
