About the Opportunity:
A top-tier building integrator is hiring a seasoned Sr. HVAC Controls Technician to support projects across the Seattle–Tacoma region. This role is ideal for a senior-level technician with deep expertise in Tridium and Distech systems, controls programming, and field integration. The technician will work on a variety of new construction, service, and retrofit projects in commercial and institutional facilities.
Position Details:
- Title: Sr. HVAC Controls Technician
- Location: Renton, WA (Territory: South Seattle to Tacoma)
- Status: Full-Time | Field-Based | Minimal Overtime
Ideal Candidate:
- 8–10+ years of experience as an HVAC Controls Technician or similar role
- Strong hands-on skills with BAS programming (from scratch and sequence rewriting)
- Required experience with Tridium; Distech highly preferred
- Excellent troubleshooting and commissioning abilities
- Comfortable with field diagnostics and point-to-point system validation
- Proficient in communicating with end users, contractors, and team members
- Knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical integration
- Capable of collaborating on installations and equipment startups
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screening
Key Responsibilities:
- Program BAS systems and verify functional sequences
- Troubleshoot, repair, and enhance installed control systems
- Lead point-to-point checkout and commissioning efforts
- Coordinate with installation teams and ensure proper termination
- Support warranty, service, and emergency response work
- Work on new construction, design-build, retrofit, and service projects
Compensation & Benefits:
