About the Opportunity:
A respected building automation and HVAC solutions provider is hiring a Controls Start-Up Technician to join its team in the greater Nashville metro area. This role is ideal for a technician with experience in BAS installation and commissioning who enjoys being in the field and solving complex systems challenges. Occasional travel to Alabama or Kentucky may be required, with all travel completed during the workweek. Training is available for those new to ALC product lines.
Position Details:

Ideal Candidate:
- Experience as a Controls Technician or similar role in BAS/HVAC
- Strong understanding of BAS installation, point-to-point checkout, and commissioning protocols
- Ability to load and modify BAS databases and controller software
- Hands-on experience with control system troubleshooting and startup support
- Familiarity with front-end setup and server-side software configuration
- Excellent communicator with clients, GCs, and end users
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to jobsite coordination
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission, troubleshoot, and support building automation systems
- Load system software and make programming/database changes to controllers
- Conduct field checkout and verify proper installation and operation of controls
- Assist with front-end server setup and software installation
- Collaborate with field teams and contractors during project startup and handoff
- Ensure project tasks are completed accurately and on schedule
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $35–$45/hr. (Based on Experience)
