We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to lead automation initiatives and optimize manufacturing processes within our steel fabrication company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, extensive experience in automation, and a proven track record of improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions to enhance manufacturing productivity.
- Analyze existing fabrication processes and identify areas for automation and process improvement.
- Develop and validate control systems, software, and hardware integrations for automated equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and engineering to optimize workflows.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards in all automation projects.
- Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting automation systems and equipment.
- Document process modifications, automation procedures, and system configurations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements in automation technology.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering fields.
- 5+ years of experience in automation engineering within manufacturing or steel fabrication industries.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, robotics, and control software.
- Proven experience improving production processes through automation.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Knowledge of safety standards and protocols in manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
