BAS Controls Technician – Dallas, TX – $30–$45/hr + Benefits – Company Vehicle – HVAC Controls & Automation
About the Opportunity:
A well-established HVAC controls and automation contractor is seeking an experienced BAS Controls Technician to support building automation projects in the Greater Dallas area. This role involves hands-on programming, start-up, and commissioning of HVAC control systems, with a focus on healthcare, industrial, lab, and commercial environments.
Position Details:
- Title: BAS Controls Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Program, start up, and commission HVAC control systems, including BACnet-based systems
- Perform site installation checks and ensure timely project completion
- Coordinate with subcontractors and project teams for smooth execution
- Attend weekly production meetings and contribute to status updates
- Support controls and mechanical service teams with troubleshooting and technical issues
- Manage project documentation including submittals, O&M manuals, and closeout materials
- Monitor job costs, projections, and prepare accurate reporting
- Maintain high customer satisfaction through efficient, professional service
- Enforce safety standards and participate in project reviews
Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of experience with HVAC controls installation and maintenance
- Niagara AX or N4 Certification (required)
- Experience with Distech, Phoenix Controls, Aircuity, and Flow Control systems
- Familiarity with BACnet and controls programming (preferred)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage field tasks independently
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $30.00 – $45.00/hr (Depending on Experience)
