Position Details:

• Title: BAS System Programmer
• Location: Portland, OR (On-Site Role)
• Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain control system software according to project specifications
• Install, program, and commission building automation systems (BAS)
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software and hardware
• Monitor system performance and implement efficiency improvements
• Ensure BAS systems meet performance, efficiency, and design specifications
• Provide technical support to project and commissioning teams
• Conduct regular inspections and perform preventative maintenance
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics
• Document all installations, updates, and repairs accurately
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and BAS technology

Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of experience in building automation or MEP construction project management
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and BAS protocols (BACnet, Modbus)
• Experience programming Tridium/Niagara (N4 Certified)
• Familiarity with Distech Controls is a plus
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical construction practices
• BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
