*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic Carson City manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining, with the ability to operate CNC lathes machines effectively. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality components in a fast-paced environment. This position will work swing shift the 3pm-1:30am.

*Duties*

* Set up and operate CNC lathe machines according to specifications.
* Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining processes.
* Utilize CAD software and SolidWorks for design modifications and programming.
* Perform CNC programming, including CAM programming, to ensure accurate part production.
* Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
* Maintain tooling and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
* Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing practices for efficiency.
* Troubleshoot issues with machinery and make necessary adjustments during production runs.
* Engage in assembly tasks as needed and assist with electrical discharge machining when required.

*Requirements*

* Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC lathe machines.
* Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding is preferred.
* Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical documents effectively.
* Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
* Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.
* Knowledge of Fanuc controls is a plus.
* Ability to operate forklifts safely is an advantage.
