Maintenance Technician: Day shift, Monday to Friday, hours vary. Overtime hours required. POSITION SUMMARY:The Maintenance Technician is expected to perform constant evaluation of machinery & equipment, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of production equipment and facilities to keep everything running in production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preventive maintenance and maintenance of production equipment and facilities
- Supports the PM system to accommodate 100% on-time compliance
- Completing assigned procedures on chemical tanks, pipes, air compressors, and other electrical and mechanical equipment
- Troubleshoot and repairs all plant equipment with either controls or mechanical issues
- Attend all required meetings and training when scheduled
- Must interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting
- Helps maintain the maintenance area by keeping it stocked with proper supplies for daily operations
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Must be knowledgeable in required personal protective equipment, must be comfortable with heights, and must be comfortable working around chemicals
- Other duties as assigned
Required Competencies, Skills, and Experience:
- Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building's electricityPlumbing experience, especially using CPVC and PVC
- Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
Must have flexibility with work hoursMust be able to work overtime and to work overtime at short noticeMust be able to prioritize, multitask, and manage time efficiently, strong organizational skills
Education and Job Experience Requirements:
- High School or GED equivalentEquivalent combination of education and experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbingExperience with plumbing, pipefitting, welding & fabrication, and electrical is a plusExperience troubleshooting HVAC controls a plusMust have the ability to lead, motivate, and develop personnel, particularly with project and cross-functional teamsProficient in multiple technical disciplines, analytics, and assurance techniques
