Location: Nashville, TN (Territory: Greater Nashville Area – approximately 120-mile radius)
Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 base salary + bonus/commission potential

A well-established HVAC and building automation organization is seeking a
Controls Department Manager to lead and grow its controls operations in the Nashville market.
This role combines leadership, sales, and customer strategy responsibilities and is ideal for a
professional with strong BAS sales and management experience. The organization is expanding its
regional presence and is looking for a leader who can drive revenue growth while supporting
operational excellence.
Position Overview
The Controls Department Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the controls
division, driving service and project sales, and building long-term customer relationships. This role
requires a hands-on leader with strong business development skills and deep knowledge of building
automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily operations of the controls department
- Drive revenue growth by expanding existing accounts and developing new customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and key stakeholders
- Generate new business through prospecting, cold outreach, and lead follow-up
- Develop and maintain a qualified sales pipeline and move opportunities through the sales cycle
- Analyze customer needs and deliver strategic BAS solutions
- Prepare estimates for BAS service and controls projects
- Track quotes, opportunities, and billing to support accurate forecasting
- Support team development, performance, and customer satisfaction
Ideal Candidate
- Proven BAS sales and management experience (required)
- Experience selling BAS service agreements and service work strongly preferred
- Strong customer relationship and consultative selling skills
- Ability to analyze client needs and provide strategic solutions
- Excellent presentation, organizational, and time-management skills
- Experience with Schneider Electric systems preferred
- Familiarity with Tridium and open BAS platforms a plus

Compensation, Bonus & Benefits
- Base salary range: $120,000 – $150,000
- Bonus / commission structure: 5% of gross profits
