About the role
This role is responsible for the design, installation, integration, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise-level physical security systems supporting both existing operations and new construction projects. The position ensures reliable, scalable, and secure system performance with minimal business disruption while maintaining compliance with corporate standards and industry best practices.
What you'll do
- Coordinate and oversee contract installers and service vendors, review work for quality, compliance, and commissioning readiness
- Lead or support small-to-medium security technology projects from planning through deployment
- Assist with annual security systems budgeting, forecasting, and lifecycle planning
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure continuity and reliability of all legacy and new physical security systems
- Manage installation, upgrades, conversions, and servicing of:
- Access control systems
- Video surveillance/VMS platforms
- Intrusion and burglary alarms
- Other integrated physical security technologies
- Maintain current knowledge of industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices
- Recommend and design system solutions based on audits, risk assessments, and business requirements
- Perform annual access control and system audits to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness
- Conduct product research, feasibility studies, project planning, tracking, and quality assurance
- Manage vendor relationships, service agreements, and performance expectations
- Support development and enforcement of physical security standards, policies, and maintenance programs
- Interpret CAD drawings and technical blueprints to validate construction and system design alignment
- Perform additional duties as required to meet operational and business objectives
- Must be able to Travel 50% of time to US locations.
Qualifications
- Genetec Certified (required or strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise or corporate Video Management Systems (e.g., Genetec, Axis, Hanwha)
- Strong expertise in IP-based video systems, network infrastructure, servers, and storage environments
- Experience supporting large-scale or campus/data center environments preferred
- Working knowledge of access control, intrusion detection, and integrated security platforms
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction documents
- Strong project coordination, communication, and vendor management skills
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and minimize operational downtime
