Description
Do you have broad hands-on experience across the industrial trades and a passion for preparing the next generation of technicians? Our Industrial Technology programs are expanding to meet regional workforce needs. We are seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member to teach a wide range of courses in industrial maintenance, automation, controls, electrical and mechanical systems, HVAC, robotics, mechatronics, advanced manufacturing, construction, and building maintenance, as well as related technical disciplines. This is a 9-month position anticipated to begin August 2026.
Courses taught may include, but are not limited to: Industrial & Building Electricity; Electrical Wiring & Maintenance; Mechanical Systems / Fluid Power & Mechanical Systems; Mechatronics & Programmable Controllers (PLC); Robotics / Automation Systems; HVAC Systems; Computer-Aided Design (CAD); Construction & Building Maintenance.
The primary duty of faculty members is to teach. In addition to teaching, class preparation, grading, and holding office hours, general responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Anticipated starting salary range for this 9-month position is $48,356 - $65,034, plus any applicable pay for overload and/or summer assignments.

THIS POSITION IS BASED IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND ABILITY TO BE PRESENT ON-CAMPUS/IN-PERSON IS REQUIRED. HCC IS A MULTI-CAMPUS COLLEGE AND THIS POSITION MAY INCLUDE TEACHING AT A VARIETY OF SITES.
