About the role

We are seeking a CNC Setup Machinist with advanced experience in machine setups to run precision milling and turning operations on HAAS machinery. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience setting up CNC mills and lathes, interpreting blueprints, and maintaining quality and efficiency on the shop floor.

What you'll do

• Proficiency in CNC setups and operation, including 3-5 axis mills (required) and lathes (preferred).
• Experience with Fanuc Controls.
• Experience editing programs at the machine terminal.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push, pull, or exert 25 pounds.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and quality control
• Knowledge of machining cyclinder heads and welded parts.
• 5 years or more years experience setting up HAAS or Fanuc control CNC machines mills and / or lathes.

Qualifications

• Responsibilities include reviewing manufacturing documentation, Properly measuring and installing tooling, ensuring part quality standards are met, and maintaing equipment to company-defined standards.
• Review manufacturing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Set up and operate CNC machines, including 3-5 axis milling centers, horizontal and vertical mills.
• Perform setups for both CNC mill operations (required, and lathe operations (preferred).
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure part quality standards are met.
• Maintain equipment according to company-defined standards.
• Collaborate with team memebers to optimize machining processes.
• Operate more than one machine depending on production volume.
• The role requires handling equipment and materials in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
