Facilities Manager
Salary: $90,000 - 100,000/year The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and efficiency of all buildings, equipment, and infrastructure within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that facilities support uninterrupted production operations while meeting regulatory, safety, and environmental standards. #LAT
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of manufacturing facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with internal teams and external contractors
- Ensure facility systems support production uptime and efficiency
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize plant layout and workflows
- Manage utilities (power, water, compressed air, etc.) to ensure reliability and cost efficiency
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and local regulatory requirements
- Lead safety initiatives and facility-related risk assessments
- Maintain emergency preparedness plans and response procedures
- Plan and execute facility upgrades, expansions, and capital improvement projects
- Manage budgets, timelines, and vendor performance
- Oversee installation of new equipment and facility modifications
- Source, negotiate, and manage service contracts
- Ensure quality and compliance of third-party work
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience managing facilities operations in technical, industrial, or research environments.
- Experience with building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation.
- Strong knowledge of facility maintenance programs and vendor management.
- Experience managing budgets and facility improvement projects.
$90,000 - $110,000 a year
