Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Automation Engineer with excellent customer-facing ability in our Automation and Controls Group.
Technical
· Programming of various PLC’s, Robots, Vision Systems, and other automated equipment
· Ability to sort through manuals and other technical information from a variety of resources quickly to support unknown technologies
· Design and alter Electrical Control systems
· Draft Electrical diagrams and panel layouts in AutoCAD
· Knowledgeable and skilled at fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning of control panels.
· Recommend needed equipment and labor estimates for projects
· Suggest new areas for development and new approaches to technical problems
· Overall Responsibility of installations in whole or in part, startups, and follow up
· Participate and lead as appropriate in safety process standards
· Install, troubleshoot, and attend to equipment as required by the project or customer
Internal
· Promotes the effective exchange of ideas and information within the Company.
· Responsible for interaction with customers bringing solutions to market.
· Maintains contact with vendors for necessary equipment, supplies and technical information
· Provide technical support and recommendations in areas of specialized knowledge.
· Develop new project opportunities with customers during daily dialogue.
· Other duties as instructed or required
· Must have right to work in the US
Experience
· 5 + years in the Automation Industry in progressive electrical engineering roles.

o Bill of Materials
o Elementaries (AutoCAD)
o Panel Layout (AutoCAD)
· Hands on Experience
o Design & Fabrication of Control Panels
o Programming various PLC’s from white paper
o Various HMI / SCADA solutions from white paper
o Drives – Servo, VFD, Stepper, etc.
o Instrumentation, calibrations, analog loops
o Robot Programming / Interfacing
· Startup of new Automated Systems
· Retrofits of existing Automated Systems

Education
Associate’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
