Controls Engineer – Denver, CO – $100,000–$140,000

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join their growing team in the Denver metro. This is a hybrid-eligible role with limited travel and excellent benefits.

Position Details:

• Title: Controls Engineer
• Location: Aurora, CO (Hybrid Eligible)
• Travel: Up to 10% for vendor and customer site support
• Status: Full-Time

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of PLC controls experience (Allen Bradley preferred)
• Electrical design and drafting using AutoCAD Electrical
• Experience in Packaging and/or Pharmaceutical industries – preferred
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Create electrical designs, schematics, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and BOMs
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 79, NEC, UL508A, and LEAN Six Sigma principles
• Supervise panel builds, wiring, plumbing, and acceptance testing
• Program and troubleshoot PLC systems, HMIs, and SCADA (Rockwell, FactoryTalk)
• Diagnose and resolve complex control system issues efficiently
• Develop, test, and document software systems
• Support electrical and controls integration with engineering teams
• Prepare technical reports and communicate project progress to teams and clients

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $100,000–$140,000 (Dependent on Experience)
