BAS Project Salesperson – Greater Washington D.C. Area – National Mechanical Contractor – Uncapped Commission
About the Opportunity:
A nationally recognized mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced BAS Project Salesperson to join their team in the Greater D.C. area. This individual will focus on identifying and developing project opportunities in building automation systems (BAS), including retrofit, service, and new construction. If you have strong experience in BAS sales and a proven track record of driving revenue, this is a high-impact role with substantial growth potential.

- In-office role with regional travel
Position Details:
- Title: BAS Project Salesperson
- Salary: $74,000 – $111,000
- Commission: Uncapped, Paid Monthly
- Vehicle: Vehicle Allowance + Gas Card
- Equipment: Cell Phone, Laptop, iPad

Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect, develop, and manage BAS project opportunities with new and existing clients
- Review project specs and drawings to develop accurate scopes and pricing
- Estimate costs, resources, subcontractors, and materials for automation system retrofits and upgrades
- Design custom retrofit solutions and provide technical/financial proposals
- Leverage strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, sequence of operations, and controls integration
- Work closely with engineering and estimating teams to develop proposals within company margins
- Identify and pursue upsell opportunities for BAS controls, HVAC service, and related mechanical work
- Present retrofit proposals to end-users, GCs, and MEP consultants as needed
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3+ years in BAS project sales or related mechanical/HVAC sales experience
- Deep understanding of building automation systems, retrofit projects, and control integration
- Strong sales skills with a consultative approach and technical acumen
- Experience with brands such as Tridium, Honeywell, KMC Controls, or Distech Controls
- Skilled in reading blueprints and interpreting control drawings
