Application Engineer/Programmer – Baltimore, MD – $95,000 - $125,000 + Bonus

About the Opportunity:

An established Building Automation Systems (BAS) integrator is seeking an experienced Application Engineer/Programmer to join their growing team. Position Details:

• Title: Application Engineer/Programmer
• Location: Baltimore, MD
• Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 (Depending on experience)
• Bonus: Company Performance Bonus
• Overtime: Eligible, but typically stays within 40 hours

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and manage BAS systems and architecture.
• Program and modify existing applications with Tridium front ends for graphical interfaces.
• Develop Sequence of Operations (SOPs) for projects.
• Troubleshoot, test, and commission BAS systems to ensure proper operation.
• Lead automation data development and prepare detailed submittals.
• Conduct site visits, perform job walks, and gather client requirements.
• Collaborate with controls technicians, contractors, and project managers.
• Communicate effectively with building owners, end users, and general contractors.

Ideal Candidate:

• Background as a Controls Technician, Application Engineer, or similar role.
• Experience with BAS product lines such as JCI Facility Explorer, Tridium, Metasys, Honeywell, or Trane Tracer.
• Strong understanding of programming, integration, and troubleshooting BAS applications.
• Knowledge of commissioning protocols and point-to-point checkouts.
