Controls Service Technician – Baltimore, MD – $38.00 - $50.00/hr + Bonus + Benefits

About the Opportunity:

An established Building Automation Systems (BAS) integrator is seeking a skilled Controls Service Technician to join their growing team in the Baltimore/DC metro area. This role offers competitive hourly pay, overtime eligibility, performance bonuses, and an excellent benefits package.

Position Details:

• Title: Controls Service Technician
• Location: Baltimore, MD
• Hourly Rate: $38.00 - $50.00 (Depending on experience)
• Bonus: Company Performance Bonus
• Overtime: Eligible (typically 40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and service on BAS systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, or replace system malfunctions.
• Run diagnostic testing to ensure equipment is operating properly.
• Monitor and adjust BAS remotely to improve efficiency.
• Work closely with installation teams on start-up and commissioning.
• Develop and prepare automation data, drawings, and submittals.
• Coordinate with contractors, building owners, and end users.
• Train clients on system use and provide on-site technical support.
• Create and submit service reports and work orders.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience as a Controls Technician, Application Engineer, or similar position.
• Proficiency with BAS product lines such as JCI Facility Explorer, Tridium, JCI Metasys, Honeywell, or Trane Tracer.
• Ability to program and modify Tridium front-end applications.
• Strong understanding of commissioning protocols and point-to-point checkouts.
• Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
