About the Opportunity:
A well-established HVAC and Building Automation contractor is seeking an experienced
Controls Service Technician (Level III/IV) in Raleigh, NC.
This role focuses on performing service, troubleshooting, and commissioning tasks on
building automation systems, while ensuring BAS solutions are integrated, programmed, and operating effectively.

Position Details:
- Title: Controls Service Technician (Level III/IV)
- Location: Raleigh, NC (other NC metros also available)
- Compensation: $30.00–$42.00/hr DOE
- Bonus: Discretionary + Summer incentive program
- Overtime: Available
- Company Vehicle: Provided
- Experience Required: 5+ years in BAS/Controls service
- Product Lines: Johnson Controls, Tridium, KMC, ASI (with some Trane/Carrier exposure)
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Perform commissioning protocols, point-to-point checkouts, and ensure system performance
- Program, integrate, and manipulate BAS databases including sequence rewriting
- Support system testing and verify control operations
- Assist with installations, equipment start-up, and termination of controls programs
- Work with communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.)
- Provide accurate service reports and documentation
- Communicate effectively with building owners, end users, and contractors
- Collaborate with field teams in a service-focused environment
Ideal Candidate:
- Background as a BAS or Controls Service Technician
- Experience with Johnson Controls or Tridium strongly preferred
- Hands-on ability in programming, troubleshooting, and integration of BAS networks
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems (AHUs, VAVs, Boilers, Chillers, RTUs)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
