Position Details
- Title: BAS Controls Technician
- Location: Tampa, Florida
- Hiring: Mid & Senior Level Technicians
- Pay: $25.00 – $40.00/hour (based on experience)
- Vehicle: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (role/region dependent)
Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, calibrate, and troubleshoot BAS field devices, sensors, controllers, relays, and panels
- Perform point-to-point checkout, device verification, and functional testing
- Support BAS integrations using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks
- Collaborate with project managers and programmers to ensure proper commissioning and closeout
- Provide professional customer service and on-site technical support
- Document work performed, test results, and system updates
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a BAS Controls Technician or similar role
- Hands-on skills with DDC hardware, low-voltage wiring, and device commissioning
- Working knowledge of HVAC equipment (AHUs, VAVs, RTUs, chillers, boilers)
- Familiarity with common BAS protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks)
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Florida
