Position Details

• Title: BAS Controls Technician
• Location: Tampa, Florida
• Hiring: Mid & Senior Level Technicians
• Pay: $25.00 – $40.00/hour (based on experience)
• Vehicle: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (role/region dependent)

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, calibrate, and troubleshoot BAS field devices, sensors, controllers, relays, and panels
• Perform point-to-point checkout, device verification, and functional testing
• Support BAS integrations using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks
• Collaborate with project managers and programmers to ensure proper commissioning and closeout
• Provide professional customer service and on-site technical support
• Document work performed, test results, and system updates

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a BAS Controls Technician or similar role
• Hands-on skills with DDC hardware, low-voltage wiring, and device commissioning
• Working knowledge of HVAC equipment (AHUs, VAVs, RTUs, chillers, boilers)
• Familiarity with common BAS protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks)
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Florida
