A leading Systems Integration and Energy Management contractor in the Baltimore/DMV region is seeking an experienced
Sr. Controls Installation Technician to support major Building Automation System (BAS) installations.
This role focuses on field leadership, mentoring junior installers, and ensuring high-quality project execution in commercial, healthcare, laboratory, and mission-critical environments.
This is primarily a night-shift position (6:00pm–4:00am) supporting a major healthcare project, with occasional Saturday work that qualifies for overtime.

Position Details
- Title: Sr. Controls Installation Technician
- Location: Baltimore, MD (DMV region)
- Hourly Rate: $40.00–$50.00/hr (DOE)
- Schedule: Night shift position (6:00pm–4:00am) with occasional Saturday work
- Travel: Local travel to client sites
- Vehicle: Company Vehicle + Gas Card (after 30 days & MVR review)
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the installation of Building Automation Systems from start to finish
- Participate in project pre-planning and coordination with project managers and engineers
- Install conduit, low-voltage cabling, and control wiring
- Mount and terminate controllers, sensors, VAVs, actuators, and other end devices
- Review, test, and troubleshoot wiring and terminations using meters and test instruments
- Identify installation issues and escalate when necessary to ensure proper resolution
- Work both day and night shifts depending on project requirements (this role is primarily nights)
- Mentor junior technicians and maintain safe, organized job sites
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Sr. Controls Installation Technician or similar BAS field installation role
- Strong ability to read wiring diagrams, control prints, and installation schematics
- Hands-on experience installing and terminating BAS/DDC hardware
- Ability to lead field crews and communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Comfort working overnight shifts and occasional weekends
