A leading Systems Integration and Energy Management contractor in the Baltimore/DMV region is seeking an experienced Sr. Controls Installation Technician to support major Building Automation System (BAS) installations. This role focuses on field leadership, mentoring junior installers, and ensuring high-quality project execution in commercial, healthcare, laboratory, and mission-critical environments.

This is primarily a night-shift position (6:00pm–4:00am) supporting a major healthcare project, with occasional Saturday work that qualifies for overtime.

Position Details

• Title: Sr. Controls Installation Technician
• Location: Baltimore, MD (DMV region)
• Hourly Rate: $40.00–$50.00/hr (DOE)
• Schedule: Night shift position (6:00pm–4:00am) with occasional Saturday work
• Travel: Local travel to client sites
• Vehicle: Company Vehicle + Gas Card (after 30 days & MVR review)

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the installation of Building Automation Systems from start to finish
• Participate in project pre-planning and coordination with project managers and engineers
• Install conduit, low-voltage cabling, and control wiring
• Mount and terminate controllers, sensors, VAVs, actuators, and other end devices
• Review, test, and troubleshoot wiring and terminations using meters and test instruments
• Identify installation issues and escalate when necessary to ensure proper resolution
• Work both day and night shifts depending on project requirements (this role is primarily nights)
• Mentor junior technicians and maintain safe, organized job sites

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Sr. Controls Installation Technician or similar BAS field installation role
• Strong ability to read wiring diagrams, control prints, and installation schematics
• Hands-on experience installing and terminating BAS/DDC hardware
• Ability to lead field crews and communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Comfort working overnight shifts and occasional weekends
