Location: South Bend, IN (Territory covers Northern Indiana and Western Michigan)

Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 base salary + bonus potential

Employment Type: Full-Time

A growing, well-established building automation organization is seeking a Senior Controls Specialist to support and expand operations across Northern Indiana and Western Michigan.

Position Overview

The Senior Controls Specialist will serve as a lead programmer and technical resource, responsible for controls programming, system integration, commissioning support, and customer-facing technical delivery. This role requires deep hands-on experience with Tridium Niagara systems and multi-vendor BAS environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Program building automation systems from scratch and modify existing applications
• Create, customize, and support front-end graphics and user interfaces
• Configure CPUs, databases, networks, graphics, and system integrations
• Troubleshoot BAS systems across multiple platforms and customer environments
• Support commissioning activities including point-to-point checkout and functional testing
• Integrate and program third-party building automation systems
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customer facilities
• Deliver training to end users and customer personnel
• Operate as a lead programmer supporting project teams and customers

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of experience in building automation controls programming
• Strong, hands-on Tridium Niagara experience (required)
• Niagara N4 experience highly preferred
• Ability to function as a lead programmer on complex projects
• Experience across design-build, retrofit, and service environments
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening

Controls Platforms & Technologies

• Primary platform: Tridium Niagara
• Experience with Johnson FX, Trane, Honeywell, Carrier, Vykon, and Distech systems
• Johnson Controls experience is a plus, but not required
