Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) is an established owner and operator of producing conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves in a trainee role working with Measurement B, Measurement A, or other senior employees.
- Is promoted to Measurement Mechanic B in 6 to 12 months after demonstrating adequate skills and abilities.
- Works as a trainee and assists Measurement Mechanic B and Measurement Mechanic A performing tasks such as safe operation, repair, maintenance and modification of metering stations and ancillary equipment including installing, removing, maintaining, repairing, testing, and calibrating equipment.
- Develops understanding of safety and operational practices.
- Learns how to safely and efficiently operate computer programs, mechanical and power equipment, such as chainsaws, weedeaters, etc.
- Gains understanding of oil and gas industry best management practices, completes all prescribed EH&S and Operator Qualification training.
- Drives a four-wheel drive vehicle or ATV to access work sites.
- Communicates with Foreman on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Measurement Mechanic C may assist with any of the following to gain experience and on the job training:
- Inspect and replace / install orifice plate
- Inspect and clean meter tube
- Install orifice meter run
- Install cone meter
- Inspect and install gauge lines, tubing and fittings from meter run to Recorder/RTU/EFM
- Calibrate / Install / operate / maintain chart recorders
- Calibrate / Install EFM/RTU equipment including all associated wiring, communication devices, power supplies, etc…
- Install and maintain power system including solar panels, charge controllers, wall charger/power supplies and battery backup systems etc…
- Install wiring / conduit (conduit up to 3/4" and 100' or less) for I/O devices and power supply to RTU/EFM. (<50 volts)
- Install pipe saddle and standpipe for use of mounting RTU/EFM/Chart recorder/power system or antenna used by RTU/EFM
- Program communications protocol for RTU to interface with communication equipment and with Scada/Cygnet
- Programs correct gas analysis in RTU.
- Program single run flow run in RTU/EFM.
- Install / operate / maintain positive displacement metering stations, such as diaphragm and rotary meters.
- Operation of portable test equipment designed for spot sampling moisture, H2S, O2, including pulling Draeger tubes.
- Install /configure / operate / maintain turbine metering station
- Install / operate / maintain catalytic heaters
- Install / operate / maintain simple self-operated regulators (examples: Single Fisher 627 or Big Joe regulators, Meco instrument supply regulators, etc.)
- Manage calibration schedule, ensuring that test reports are completed and submitted on time.
- Manage missing data.
- Verify test equipment using best management practices - example PK and Dead Weight Tester
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to move or traverse from one location on the job site to another. This includes the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, frequently positioning oneself (e.g., to stoop, kneel, or squat) to perform tasks, and occasionally ascend/descend (e.g., ladders or uneven terrain)
- Ability to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess driving operations effectively (either naturally or with corrective lenses).
- Ability to operate a 4X4 vehicle.
- Must be able to repetitively move or position feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back. Constantly operates, uses, and positions hands and fingers in performance of work
- Must be able to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights
- Lifts or carries 85 lbs. or more, which falls into the "heavy" category (over 50 pounds).
- Frequently pushes and pulls with a maximum force of 150 ft./lbs.
- Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions and is exposed to varying environmental conditions, including well site conditions. The position requires the ability to perform tasks in physically demanding environments, encompassing the essential physical requirements and efforts outline

- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
- This position involves operating a company vehicle for work-related travel or receiving a stipend for operating a personal vehicle for company use; adherence to all traffic laws and company vehicle policies is required.
