Role Overview 

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee the complete lifecycle of custom capital equipment and industrial automation projects. In this role, you will bridge communication across Sales, Engineering, Production, Field Service, and external secondary equipment suppliers to ensure projects move seamlessly from quote generation through final customer delivery.  

The ideal candidate thrives in a cross-functional environment, excels at managing third-party vendor relationships, and leverages time-study data to optimize quote accuracy, lead times, and project profitability.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Vendor & Secondary Equipment Management: Manage relationships, cost controls, and quote turnaround with secondary equipment suppliers and internal technical teams to ensure competitive pricing, acceptable lead times, and high customer satisfaction.  

• Quotation & Lead Time Optimization: Partner with Sales, Sales Engineering, and Design Engineering to streamline quote efficiency. Conduct time studies across Production, Engineering, and Field Service to establish accurate lead times and cost estimates.  

• Project Execution & Milestone Tracking: Monitor overall project progression against baseline schedules. Track critical deliverables, identify operational risks early, and resolve execution bottlenecks in a timely manner.  

• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all final deliverables align with internal quality benchmarks and client specifications through structured reviews and testing verifications.  

• Executive Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present regular status updates—including milestone progress, budget management, and risk assessments—to senior leadership. Maintain detailed project files, meeting minutes, and change order records.  

• Continuous Improvement: Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned, implement process enhancements, and refine best practices for future project cycles.  

Qualifications & Key Requirements 

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree paired with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on project management experience in custom manufacturing, industrial machinery, or technical systems integration.  

• Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project). Demonstrated ability to conduct time studies, interpret workflow metrics, and manage project schedules.  

• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven track record of facilitating clear alignment across technical engineering teams, shop-floor production, and external vendors.  

• Organizational Agility: Outstanding multitasking and organizational skills with the flexibility to adapt quickly to shifting project priorities and customer deadlines.  

• Travel Capability: Willingness to undertake moderate travel to vendor locations, client facilities, and regional branch offices as required.

• Environment: Primary office-based setting with periodic visits to active assembly floors and customer facilities.  

• Physical Demands: Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and communicate clearly. Occasionally required to stoop, bend, or lift up to 25 lbs.
