Role Overview
The Controls Engineer supports commercial controls projects through proposal development, programming, project support, and customer-facing technical services. You’ll work with contractors, engineers, and owners to develop and implement efficient, effective control strategies using leading HVAC automation systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing controls proposals with clear scope based on sequence of operations, drawings, and specifications
- Creating sequences, bills of materials, network layouts, and electrical schematics
- Programming system and network controllers for commercial building systems
- Designing and maintaining as-built documentation and tracking project design changes
- Providing technical support and hands-on service to clients and partners
- Conducting technical training for mechanical contractors, engineers, and owners
- Collaborating with project teams and clients to communicate updates and modifications
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Controls Engineer or Controls Specialist
- Ability to develop proposals and create system designs from SOO and drawings
- Strong skills in controller programming and HVAC integration
- Familiarity with MS Visio and producing electrical schematics
- Strong interpersonal skills for training and client interaction
- Detail-oriented with the ability to track changes and maintain as-built documentation
