A respected West Michigan building automation firm is seeking an experienced BAS Service Technician to join their Grand Rapids team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable company providing integrated HVAC, lighting, ventilation, and access control systems for commercial and industrial clients.

Position Details:

• Title: BAS Service Technician
• Location: Grand Rapids, MI
• Hourly Rate: $30.00 – $40.00/hr (flexible for the right candidate)
• Work Week: Avg. 45 hrs/week, overtime available at 1.5x rate

What You’ll Do:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair building automation and HVAC control systems
• Perform system commissioning and point-to-point checkout
• Startup and configure building management systems and related software
• Troubleshoot and manipulate existing BAS programs and control logic
• Collaborate with controls installation and termination teams onsite
• Test and validate performance of field equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance, retrofits, and necessary system modifications
• Communicate effectively with building owners, managers, and contractors
• Ensure all system updates and security protocols are implemented

What You Bring:

• Previous experience as a BAS or Controls Service Technician
• Strong knowledge of HVAC control systems and digital controls (DDC/BAS)
• Comfort working independently in the field with a range of control platforms
• Hands-on experience with commissioning and servicing Tridium systems
• Strong client communication and service mindset
