A global leader in energy management and building automation is seeking a BAS Controls Design Engineer to join their Franklin, TN team. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in designing Building Automation Systems (BAS) for commercial, critical environment, and high-performance facilities.

Position Details:

• Title: BAS Controls Design Engineer
• Location: Franklin, TN (Nashville Metro)
• Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 base + 10% bonus

Ideal Candidate:

• 3–5 years of experience designing Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Proficient in AutoCAD or MS Visio for schematics and layout design
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, and/or LON protocols
• Ability to develop sequence of operations (SOPs), wiring schematics, and distributed network architecture
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred

What You’ll Do:

• Review bid specifications and create cost-effective BAS design solutions
• Generate architectural, electrical, and mechanical layouts, including bill of materials
• Design DDC systems, valve and damper schedules, control panel layouts, and system schematics
• Develop BAS network architecture to support operator workstations, field panels, and third-party devices
• Prepare submittals, RFIs, and engineering re-estimates for customer approval
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Sales teams during handoff and job walks
• Provide startup and commissioning documentation to field teams

• Base Salary: $90,000 – $110,000
