Position:

• Title: Security Alarm Technician
• Location: Arlington, MA
• Territory: Greater Boston Area (Project-Based Travel)
• Status: Full-Time / On-Site
• Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain DoD security clearance and/or MA Security Certificate of Clearance

Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in security alarm system installation or service
• MA Systems Technician “D” license or Journeyman Electrician “B” license (or equivalent)
• Experience with fire alarm, access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems
• Genetec Certification – preferred
• Boston F1 and other municipal certifications – preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections of fire, intrusion, access, and video systems
• Install, service, and troubleshoot commercial and residential systems per specs
• Clean detectors, test control units, adjust video systems, and run cabling
• Communicate system functionality and maintenance guidance to customers
• Identify and define scope for add-ons and change orders on active sites
• Assist apprentices and uphold team productivity and quality standards
• Document all service and installation activity in company systems
• Collaborate with tech leads to provide product feedback and system insights
