About the Opportunity:
A leading mechanical contractor is seeking a skilled Controls Technician III to join their dynamic team in the Phoenix metro area. This role is ideal for someone with extensive HVAC and controls programming experience who is ready to support installation and commissioning of building automation systems across a diverse portfolio of commercial, education, and healthcare projects.
Position Details:
- Title: Controls Technician III
- Location: Phoenix, AZ (Project-Based Travel)
- Pay Rate: $32–$36/hr (Depending on Experience)
- Status: Full-Time / In-Person
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience installing and maintaining HVAC controls systems
- Niagara AX or N4 Certification – required
- BACnet programming experience – required
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, commission, and troubleshoot HVAC building automation systems
- Support controls and mechanical service teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Conduct jobsite visits to review ongoing and completed projects
- Generate and maintain project documentation including submittals and O&M manuals
- Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams to meet project schedules
- Participate in weekly production meetings and status reporting
- Evaluate project performance against budget and scope
- Promptly resolve field issues and escalate urgent items
- Provide weekly project updates and closeout reports
- Ensure adherence to company safety protocols and project delivery standards
