Controls Project Engineer – Greater Queens, NY Area

We’re seeking a technically skilled and driven Controls Project Engineer to support automation projects from design through commissioning. Position Details:
- Title: Controls Project Engineer
- Location: Long Island City / Greater Queens, NY
- Salary: $75,000–$110,000 (DOE)
- Status: Full-Time | On-Site | No Overtime
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a BAS Project Engineer or Project Manager
- BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering – Preferred
- Proficiency with BACnet MSTP networks required
- Experience with AX or N4 certification – a plus
- Visio proficiency – a strong advantage
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and deadline-driven
- Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, field, and drafting teams
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Key Responsibilities:
- Create control schematics, sequences of operation, valve schedules, and product data sheets
- Design system networking architecture diagrams
- Program BAS field and network controllers, develop graphical interfaces and databases
- Generate RFIs for clarification of design documentation
- Select appropriate control components, including third-party devices
- Collaborate with drafting personnel to produce submittal packages
- Write BACnet software for automation sequences
- Oversee and assist with the startup, checkout, and commissioning process
- Supervise creation of O&M manuals and support on-site project execution
- Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $75,000–$110,000 (DOE)
