$75,000 – $90,000 + Annual Bonus + 100% Paid Medical

Security Automation Systems is seeking a motivated Electrical Controls Engineer to join their dynamic team in Indianapolis. Specializing in non-proprietary PLC-based touchscreen control systems for correctional and municipal facilities, SAS offers an opportunity to work on meaningful projects that improve security and operations across Indiana and surrounding states.

Position Overview:

• Title: Electrical Controls Engineer
• Location: Indianapolis, IN
• Type: Full-Time | Hybrid after 6 months (2 remote days/week)

What You’ll Do:

• Design, program, and configure PLC and HMI control systems (Omron & InduSoft)
• Oversee controls projects from design to installation
• Conduct onsite equipment testing and provide lifecycle support
• Assist with system upgrades and retrofits
• Manage material purchasing and project documentation
• Provide hands-on customer service and support

Ideal Candidate:

• 2+ years of controls engineering experience
• Experience with PLC programming (Omron preferred)
• Familiar with HMI platforms (InduSoft preferred)
• Outgoing, hands-on, and customer-focused personality
• Comfortable with 50% field work and occasional overnight travel (within IL, OH, KY, MI)

• Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 (DOE)
