A reputable and long-established contractor is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join their Building Automation division in the Detroit metro area. This is a hands-on role focused on the design, engineering, and support of BAS systems across commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. Position Details:

• Title: Controls Engineer
• Location: Detroit, MI
• Status: Full-Time | Office & Field-Based

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience as a Controls Engineer or in a similar BAS engineering role
• Proficient in AutoCAD or MS Visio for control system design
• Capable of creating and reviewing Sequences of Operation (SOO)
• Strong understanding of building automation programming or basic troubleshooting
• Ability to develop bills of materials and submittal packages
• Experience performing job walks and supporting project delivery teams
• Collaborative and detail-oriented, with good communication skills
• Tridium Niagara experience highly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and manage BAS systems and infrastructure using AutoCAD or Visio
• Develop technical documentation including sequences, BOMs, and submittals
• Support installation teams with technical guidance and troubleshooting
• Perform job walks and collaborate with sales and field technicians
• Ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule

Compensation & Benefits:
