About the Opportunity:

A well-established fire life safety and security integrator is hiring a Fire/Safety Testing Lead Technician to support projects across Los Angeles and Orange County. This role involves leading testing efforts on a variety of fire life safety systems across industries such as healthcare, education, industrial, and government. Applicants with a Reg4 Certification are eligible for higher compensation.

Position Details:

• Title: Fire/Safety Testing Lead Technician
• Location: Greater Los Angeles Area (including Ventura & OC)
• Territory: LA County, Ventura County, Orange County
• Status: Full-Time | Field-Based

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on-site testing of fire life safety systems at commercial and institutional facilities
• Coordinate with technicians, facility contacts, and subcontractors
• Conduct system testing and inspections per NFPA codes
• Troubleshoot and diagnose fire alarm and safety systems issues
• Program alarm panels using industry-standard software
• Ensure all changes and service tickets are documented and submitted correctly
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear and timely updates
• Document completed tests, repairs, and service records for compliance

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Fire Testing Lead Technician or similar field-based role
• Familiar with NFPA codes and life safety compliance requirements
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems including EST3, Silent Knight, and Fire-Lite
• Ability to oversee field teams and ensure efficient execution of work
• Reg4 Certification preferred (higher pay available)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $30.00–$38.00/hr. (Up to $52.00/hr. with Reg4)
