About the Opportunity:
A nationally respected mechanical and controls contractor is seeking a Controls Applications Engineer to join their team in St. Louis, MO. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a company known for innovation in design-build HVAC projects across multiple industries.
Position Details:
- Title: Controls Applications Engineer
- Location: St. Louis, MO
- Salary: $65,000 – $95,000 (DOE) + Discretionary Bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage BAS systems architecture using MS Visio or AutoCAD
- Develop and write Sequences of Operations for controls projects
- Create bills of materials and detailed design documents for submittals
- Interpret HVAC equipment to determine appropriate controls, sensors, and hardware
- Review and convert HVAC submittals to BAS control strategies
- Perform job walks and assess customer site needs
- Support field technicians and project teams with programming insights and troubleshooting
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of controls designs for all assigned projects
Ideal Candidate:
- Prior experience in a Controls Applications Engineer or similar role
- Working knowledge of Tridium Niagara preferred
- Strong understanding of control circuits and electrical components
- Experience generating control designs and submittals in design/build environments
- Comfortable interpreting plans, specs, and HVAC equipment details
