About the Opportunity:

A nationally recognized mechanical contractor is hiring a BAS System Specialist II in the St. Paul, MN area. This full-time role focuses on supporting building automation systems through point-to-point verification, programming, and graphical interface development. The role includes about 35% night shift work (typically 9:00pm–4:00am at the Minneapolis–St. Paul Airport).

Position Details:

• Title: BAS System Specialist II
• Location: St. Paul, MN
• Hourly Rate: $28.97–$43.46/hr (DOE)
• Status: Non-Exempt | Overtime Available
• Bonus: Short-Term Incentive Bonus (up to 2.5%)
• Car Allowance: Included

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot sequences and verify control points for BAS systems
• Build, test, and commission automation systems and controls
• Create BAS graphics and dashboards for system interfaces
• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical systems
• Write or modify control sequences and build programs from scratch or libraries
• Ensure systems are optimized for energy efficiency and performance
• Work with Tridium Niagara, KMC, or Honeywell platforms (preferred)

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced in BAS or Controls Systems
• Strong knowledge of commissioning and energy management protocols
• Capable of creating and editing graphics for wiring diagrams and system dashboards
• Familiar with repairs, replacements, and field troubleshooting
• Comfortable working night shifts approximately 35% of the time
