About the Opportunity:

A Tier-1 technology company in the data center industry is seeking a Commissioning Specialist to support projects across major data center environments. This is a full-time role based in the Omaha metro area with excellent career growth potential, including a path toward becoming an Application Engineer.

Position Details:

• Title: Commissioning Specialist – Data Center Environments
• Location: Omaha, NE Metro
• Estimated Compensation: $70,000–$99,000 (includes Base $60–$85K + 5% Bonus + Overtime)

Career Progression:

• Opportunity to grow into an Application Engineer role

Travel Expectations:

• Initial Training (3–6 months): Travel with Application Engineers to various data centers across the U.S.
• Post-Training: Primarily local metro work with minimal travel. Potential for up to 50% U.S. travel if local work slows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, commission, troubleshoot, and install EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring Systems)
• Integrate systems using protocols such as TCP/IP, Modbus, BACnet
• Develop and configure custom reports based on customer requirements
• Provide training to end-users on EPMS operation

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 2–3+ years of relevant experience in electrical or controls field
• Solid understanding of electrical systems
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Backgrounds may include Electrical Techs, Electrical Designers, Power Techs, or Control Techs
• Bonus: SCADA or software integration experience (not required)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Estimated Total Compensation: $70,000–$99,000
• Base Salary: $60,000–$85,000
• Bonus: 5% performance bonus
• Overtime: Paid based on total time from home departure to return
