BAS Support Specialist – MD/DC Metro – $75K to $95K + Profit Sharing – Leading BAS/HVAC/R Distributor
About the Opportunity:
A long-standing leader in HVAC, Refrigeration, and Building Automation distribution is seeking a BAS Support Specialist to join their MD/DC team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced BAS technician to move into a hybrid technical support and customer-facing role with a respected distributor serving the Mid-Atlantic region. The position involves real-time support, system layout, product selection, and troubleshooting for automation contractors across various platforms.
Position Details:
- Title: BAS Support Specialist
- Location: MD/DC Metro
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Status: Full-Time | Primarily In-Office with Occasional Field Visits
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 (Based on Experience)

Responsibilities:
- Support BAS contractors via phone, email, and remote access for equipment selection, installation, and troubleshooting
- Assist with presale application guidance and product/system layout recommendations
- Prepare product quotes and assist in processing orders
- Coordinate and manage product deliveries and logistics
- Support post-sale installation, integration, and service needs
- Train contractors on BAS platforms and provide technical guidance
- Act as liaison with manufacturers to resolve support issues
Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Practical knowledge of BAS programming and HVAC systems
- Strong computer and networking skills; solid understanding of IP architecture
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Tridium Niagara N4 certification required
- Experience with Honeywell Webs or JCI Facility Explorer preferred
