About the Opportunity
A leading commercial Building Automation and HVAC services provider is seeking an experienced
Controls Programmer/Engineer to join their growing team in the Atlanta metro area.
This role is field-based, with direct deployment to job sites, and offers competitive compensation,
comprehensive benefits, and a company vehicle. Candidates must hold a Niagara N4 certification.
Position Details
- Title: Controls Programmer/Engineer
- Location: Atlanta, GA (Buford office base)
- Salary: $90,000 – $125,000 DOE
- Bonus: None
- Relocation: Up to $5,000 (with receipts)
- Travel: Greater Atlanta Metro area
- Certification: Niagara N4 required
Key Responsibilities
- Program and modify BAS control sequences from scratch and prepackaged libraries
- Conduct functional testing and point-to-point verification for system components
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming, communication, and hardware-related issues
- Integrate BAS systems with third-party platforms using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks
- Design BAS architecture including control panel layouts and network diagrams
- Develop sequences of operation and specify/select BAS components for projects
- Collaborate with technicians, project managers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning
- Diagnose and repair advanced HVAC system issues (AHUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers)
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Controls Programmer, Controls Engineer, or similar role
- Hands-on BAS programming skills with Niagara N4 (required)
- Knowledge of HVAC system design and operation
- Strong troubleshooting and integration experience with BAS platforms
- Effective communicator with ability to work in field environments
