Controls Service Technician
Location: Marlborough, MA (Territory throughout Massachusetts; travel into Connecticut as needed)
Compensation: $30.00 – $38.00/hour (flexible, based on experience) + overtime + annual bonus

A well-established Building Automation and Energy Management contractor is expanding its service team and is seeking an experienced
Controls Service Technician to support projects throughout Massachusetts, based out of the Marlborough area.

Position Summary
The Controls Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, programming support, and commissioning of
building automation systems across a broad client base. This role is field-based and requires strong technical and customer-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and service building automation systems and associated controls hardware
- Troubleshoot and modify existing BAS programs in live environments
- Rewrite programming sequences and work with pre-packaged libraries
- Support commissioning activities including point-to-point checkout and functional testing
- Coordinate startup, termination, and system integration with installation teams
- Assist with front-end server setup and software installation/downloads
- Communicate effectively with building owners, end users, and general contractors
- Travel throughout Massachusetts with occasional travel into Connecticut
- Work independently in the field while collaborating with internal project teams
Ideal Candidate
- 2–5+ years of experience as a Controls Technician, BAS Service Technician, or similar role
- Experience with Alerton systems strongly preferred
- Familiarity servicing Honeywell systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills and customer-service mindset
- Comfortable working across commercial and institutional environments
- Non-union environment
Compensation, Bonus & Overtime
- Hourly pay range: $30.00 – $38.00 (flexible, based on experience)
- Overtime available, especially during peak summer months
- Annual bonus potential of $5,000 – $10,000
