Location: Portland, OR (project-based travel as needed)
Compensation: $35.00 – $50.00+/hour (DOE) + overtime + bonus (TBD)

A well-established, multi-trade technical services organization is seeking a BMS / Building Automation Service Technician
to support commercial, industrial, healthcare, institutional, and multi-unit residential facilities in the Portland, OR area.
This position focuses on servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, and commissioning building management systems (BMS/DDC).

Position Summary
The BMS Service Technician is responsible for managing assigned service work orders from start to finish, serving as the on-site technical
representative, and ensuring high customer satisfaction through effective troubleshooting and technical execution. The role includes
interpreting plans and sequences, diagnosing issues across BMS/DDC systems, and completing programming and commissioning tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned work-in-progress (WIP) service orders from initiation through closeout, including required documentation
- Act as the on-site technical representative and customer advocate during service visits
- Interpret control schematics, mechanical plans, electrical drawings, and sequences of operation
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with BMS/DDC systems, controllers, field devices, and control networks
- Program, configure, and commission BMS controllers and systems
- Repair, replace, and recalibrate building automation control devices and equipment
- Perform additional technical duties as assigned to support service delivery
Qualifications
- 5–6+ years of hands-on BAS / building automation service experience (preferred)
- Experience with BAS platforms such as Delta Controls, Alerton, Distech, Schneider, and Siemens (preferred)
- LEB certification is a plus
- Light commercial or residential HVAC experience is a plus
- Technically proficient with computers and service documentation tools
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Overtime availability as needed
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $35.00 – $50.00+/hour (depending on experience)
