About the Opportunity

A well-established building automation contractor is seeking an experienced BMS Technician to support commercial and institutional facilities throughout Northern California. This role focuses on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting building control systems that manage HVAC, lighting, and energy performance. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and complete assigned service work orders, including proper documentation
• Serve as the on-site technical point of contact during customer visits
• Interpret mechanical/electrical schematics and sequences of operation
• Troubleshoot and repair BMS/DDC systems, controllers, field devices, and communication networks
• Program, configure, and commission building automation systems
• Recalibrate sensors, replace controllers, and resolve alarm-related issues
• Provide timely technical support and ensure high-quality service delivery

Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with building automation systems (BAS)
• Familiarity with Alerton, Distech, Schneider, Siemens, or similar platforms
• Strong troubleshooting, programming, and commissioning skills
• Technical aptitude with controls systems and sensor calibration
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
