*POSITION GUIDE*
*TITLE:* Journeyman Electrician
*DEPARTMENT:* Manufacturing Engineering
*REPORTS TO: *Manufacturing Engineer
*SCHEDULE:* 6:00A -2:00P / Ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and overtime as needed
*BASIC FUNCTION:*
Provide support to manufacturing. Plan major repairs, replacement, and modification and additions of plant-wide electrical apparatus, wiring, and equipment including primary power source over 480 volts. Installation, maintenance, and repair of plant wide electrical equipment, wiring, and apparatus including those systems or devices above 480 volts. Coordinate, direct and assist unlicensed electricians primarily but not limited to new construction. Perform mechanical maintenance and repair of plant-wide facilities and production equipment.
*SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a wide range of production and packaging equipment
* The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial electrical systems, controls, automation, and equipment support within a manufacturing environment
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control systems for production and packaging equipment such as casting lines, machine lines, conveying systems, induction melting furnaces, Fanuc robots, vision systems, and similar machinery
* Partner with operations and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks
* Maintain electrical systems in compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
* Maintain electrical systems with minimal supervision
* Maintain and update control system backups, schematics, and electrical documentation
* Support capital projects
* Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
* Perform additional related duties as assigned
*QUALIFICAITIONS:*
* Two-year Electrical Technician degree and/or one of the following:
* Class A Journeyman license or Maintenance Electrician license
* Completed apprenticeship in electro-mechanical, electrical, controls, or related field
* Relevant military training and experience
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in electrical, controls, or automation roles
