Position Description:
This position is within Kinder Morgan’s Midstream group, reporting to the Manager – Commercial Scheduling. This individual is the main point of contact for customer inquiries, analyzing and resolving issues regarding daily scheduling activities for assets on various Kinder Morgan Midstream natural gas gathering and processing pipelines. These activities include nominations, confirmations, scheduling, allocations, and imbalance management.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with producers, marketers, pipelines, shippers and various internal business owners.
- Communicate with internal and external customers, Commercial, Marketing, Operations and Gas Control on daily scheduled activities.
- Assist customers with the nomination process using iDART.
- Respond accurately and timely to customer inquiries concerning daily business, operations, and/or contract requirements.
- Execute daily and month-end plant scheduling in DART, ensuring accurate system balance, timely plant close, and alignment across operations, measurement, and accounting.
- Ensure all plant volumes are accurately allocated to the correct customer contracts, validating allocation methodologies and resolving discrepancies to support accurate settlements and invoicing.
- Coordinate nominations and confirmations with pipelines, plants, and third parties to maintain uninterrupted system flow.
- Monitor system volumes, imbalance, and operational constraints, adjusting schedules as needed to maintain balance and minimize disruptions.
- Track plant performance, including rejection vs recovery impacts, and ensure outcomes are accurately reflected in scheduling, allocations, and settlement.
- Interpret and apply customer contract terms to scheduling, allocations, and settlements, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and accurate volume distribution.
- Monthly sign-off, reconciliation, and resolution of imbalances on Operational Balancing Agreements (OBAs), Transportation Agreements, and other Contractual imbalances on a daily and monthly basis.
- Review and monitor point flows using SCADA.
- Ability to be available when pipeline emergencies require attention with a possibility of relocating during storm or similar event.
- Ability to work on weekends, evenings, or holidays when necessary, although typically handled by an after-hours team.
- Special projects and other daily, weekly, or monthly assignments as required.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ relative gas industry experience
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of gas gathering, processing, and NGL markets.
- Previous experience in a customer service position where complex concepts are conveyed using various communication tools within a limited time-frame.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize workload in fast paced and frequently changing environment.
- Possesses strong analytical skills and ability to identify potential process improvements.
- Ability to balance competing priorities while working with changing deadlines.
- Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and establish relationships and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Works well in a team environment as well as autonomously with limited direct supervision.
- Experience with the DART system or equivalent transactional data systems is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to be an integral member of a team.
- Ability to multi-task, quickly adapt and tackle new problems, re-prioritizing as needed.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and complex problem solving.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. and the ability to learn new technology, such as (but not limited to) Power BI and Robotic Process Automation tools.
