Position Details
- Title: BAS Controls Specialist
- Location: Washington, DC (Local Travel within Metro Area)
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Compensation: $48.00 – $65.00/hr (Depending on Experience)
- Overtime: Available + Drive Time Pay
- Certifications Preferred: Tridium Niagara (N4) or similar BAS platforms
Key Responsibilities
- Commission, calibrate, and troubleshoot Building Automation (BAS/DDC) control systems
- Integrate and configure control networks using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks protocols
- Interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation
- Install and configure field devices including sensors, relays, and actuators
- Perform functional testing and point-to-point device verification
- Assist with client training, walkthroughs, and final system verification
- Document commissioning results, calibration records, and field reports
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure system quality and performance
- Provide customer support and ensure that all project requirements are met efficiently and accurately
Ideal Candidate
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with BAS or HVAC control systems
- Strong understanding of control logic, sequences, and field wiring
- Experience working with multiple BAS platforms (Tridium preferred)
- Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
