About the Role This is a hands-on Automation Process Technician role responsible for the performance of our automation-driven spirits processing systems. You’ll be the technical owner of the day-to-day operations of manufacturing equipment—keeping runs consistent, traceable, and moving smoothly—while supporting equipment performance and continuous improvement over time. The role is primarily spirits production and may also support bottling/canning line technology as needed.

Who This Role Is For You like roles where you’re operating automation-driven process equipment. You’re hands-on, detail-oriented, and accountable, with practical troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. You’re comfortable working through HMIs, alarms/fault codes, sensors, and setpoints/recipes, and you escalate early when something is beyond scope. You’re collaborative and dependable. You’re also comfortable in a production environment (PPE, physical movement, occasional lifting, etc.)

Why Barrel RM You’ll be operating the core automation-driven systems that produce whiskeys, rums, tequilas and blended products. This role has real ownership: you’ll run batch operations, keep runs consistent, and help tighten how production works as we scale. You’ll be responsible for the equipment, the process, and the outcome—and be part of setting what modern spirits production looks like.
Work Environment: Comfortable working in a warehouse and production setting with varying temperatures, including warmer conditions in summer months, and moderate to high noise levels during production runs. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and move throughout the facility, lift and move up to 50 lbs, and perform computer-based work as needed.
