Role Overview
This is a senior-level technician role requiring broad expertise in building automation and HVAC system operations. You’ll be responsible for managing large-scale controls projects from bidding through final commissioning, with a strong emphasis on hydronic systems and BAS programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead technician on controls projects from cradle to grave (bidding to handover)
- Program, modify, and rewrite BAS control sequences (Tridium or Distech experience required)
- Install and test building automation systems
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on BAS and HVAC control systems
- Commission and verify system performance, including point-to-point checkouts
- Coordinate with internal teams, end users, and contractors during all phases
- Work with hydronic systems including piping, pumps, boilers, and cooling towers
- Diagnose and adjust BAS programs for optimal energy and system efficiency
- Oversee startup, equipment termination, and ensure quality of installation
Ideal Candidate
- Extensive experience as a Senior HVAC Controls Technician or equivalent
- Expert-level knowledge of building automation systems troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with Tridium and/or Distech control platforms
- Strong background in hydronics and HVAC system architecture
- Clear communicator and collaborator with owners, users, and GCs
- U.S. citizen; must pass background check and drug screen
